Hmm, from what i can see after an instant test ... open the map file with a note pad editor, change the gametype value und place the map into the right directory.

0 = scenario
1 = adventure
2 = conquest

But it doesnt seem to work with the official "adventures" (great battles / losses) which come with the game (when i tested one, i instantly won), maybe theres some more editing needed.

I did try to change the values using note pad gives me error all the time and stop working the adventure, for ever, even if i change it to the original value. That seems than my notepad is unable to leave intact the original file and when I save it make it to crash. Any tips?

Thank you

Well, i did some more testing ... well. In general, it works, but why do want to change an adventure into a scenario?

- maybe try another notepad editor, like this: http://sourceforge.net/projects/notepad-plus/, windows note pad might be not the right thing ...
- ensure that you and your opponents have at least one town hall
- some game modes may causes crashes (elimination worked for me on all adventures)
- be sure thats theres a minimum of 1 player in the pre-game-options

Brilliant!!!

It works!!!.

Well... why to convert adventures into scenarios... There is some cool maps inside haemimont scenarios and people want to use them to create similar story or multiplayer modifying the map, etc. So that's the reason.

cheers

By the way, where are you from?

I'm from Spain.

It's very disappointing that haemimont couldn't be able to sell their masterpeace (GBR-Imperivm III) in the rest of Europe. I'm sure that if it reaches Germany would have be able to be sold in the rest of Europe and then the rest of the world. I will never understand that maybe the best strategy game designed so far, with record-selling in Spain and Italy, couldn't find it's way.... any way I invite you and everyone enthusiastic on this game to play online with the spanish and italians (there is also an increasing number of latin american players around).

Best wishes

I think Atari refused it when FX Interactive (international publishing rights holder) proposed it. However, it's buyable (bundled with Imperivm/Celtic Kings, Imperivm2/Nemesis of the Roman Empire and Imperivm Civitas/Glory of the Roman Empire) from italian and spanish online retailers (like Unilibro and IBS) for 9€ and there are some english mods on this same forum Razz
The game it's 4 years old but the online community (dominated by spanish Sad ) it's very strong and the singleplayer is also very good. I think FX will release it someday on some DD system at a bargain price... It's still played a lot today and they're planning to expand worldwide in 2010 with Navy Moves and maybe some other titles Laughing
We need to tell everybody (also on international forums) how the game it's unique and fantastic Razz Laughing

I don't know, Mohamed, but I guess you have to modify the game itself.

About the game, the online mode is very succesfull and yes, it has a very solid community, thousen of players, many of them playing since it became available in shops and still playing and, every day are new players discovering it. And, of course, we should try to tell everybody about this awesome game.

best wishes

Okay, I finally figured out how to increase the amount of items a person can hold. It is in the UNIT.SC file and all you have to do is change the "<properties inventory_size="16"/>" to what ever number you need.

I now have another problem, When ever a conversation starts the game pauses. I want the game to continue like nothing has happened when a conversation starts. If you know how please tell me and save me a lot of time.

hi mohammed,
there is no way to display conversation w/o pausing the game.
you can still print messages on the screen but this is ugly way to present a conversation.
u can try with some voice acting. but frankly I doubt that can be done with the editor.
this weekend I will spare some time on this issue.
.wink.
